Tuba Island located 20 minutes boat ride away from Kuah, Langkawi is an island with full of tourism potential. Some say that Tuba Island is how Langkawi looked like 20 years ago.
The aim of implementing this project is to help the local community with tourism management skills, improve their facilities while preserving their culture and environment and promote Tuba Island as a new Community Based Tourism (CBT) destination in Malaysia. Community Based Tourism (CBT) is a new form of tourism product in which tourism is managed the local communities. Apart from improving the life standard of local communities, the main agenda of the CBT is to preserve the socio-cultural status and the environment of the local communities.
