On the 12th of March 2022, what was meant to be a fun trek up Gunung Tahan turned tragic for one trekker.
Raja Azlan Shah Raja Abdul Aziz, 51 at the time of the incident, lost his life on the mountain, leaving behind his wife and three children.
Three years on, his wife, Nor Zaharah Sham Shamsul Bahar also known as Zara, continues her fight to uncover the truth about what really happened during the expedition that led to her husband’s death.
This documentary follows the life of Raja Azlan Shah, a Malaysian outdoor enthusiast who tragically lost his life during his first-ever mountain expedition with friends at Gunung Tahan. In the aftermath of his passing, his wife has spent the past three years searching for answers. Despite her tireless efforts, she has faced inconclusive explanations, a silence that has fueled her suspicion that negligence may have played a role, and that her husband could have been saved.
As she prepares to retrace his steps to Gunung Tahan, this documentary explores the fragments he left behind: the people involved, the decisions made, and the unspoken truths that emerged after his death. Through interviews with family members and experts, documentation, and her ongoing search for answers, the film aims to objectively explore the events leading up to his death and support the pursuit of truth and justice for Raja Azlan Shah and his family.

We aim to gather a total amount of RM 6215 in the period of 16 April 2021 to 10 June 2021. The remaining or excess donations collected that exclude the donation expenses and reward expenses will be directly passed to the Parent-Teacher Association of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Ldg Semantan for them to purchase 10 unit of tablets for the less fortunate students for online learning purpose. With the funds collected, the school authorities could buy the 10 units of tablets and each class would have at least 2 units of tablets.
This project is a milestone in achieving our vision, we keep motivated and enthusiastic about the education of our future generation by equipping them with 21st-century skills. In the future, we wish to connect with more rural state authorities or schools in the whole Malaysia to cooperate and design more fundraising campaigns for children’s education.
