We are a class of students under the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Studies of UiTM Rembau. For our final semester, we have planned a CSR project which will be held at Yayasan Cahaya Mutiara in Ubud, Bali. The location is chosen as it will benefit us greatly by helping those in need as well as the cultural exchange between Indonesia and Malaysia. We believe that apart from saddling the responsibilities in building a better international bond, we are also grabbing every opportunity we can to help communities as well as bringing the name of the university on a international front.

As mentioned above, YCMU is a foundation run by people with disabilities, for people with disabilities established on 27th of August 2014. Currently this safe haven houses a positive bunch of 32 boys and girls, ages 16 to 45 . 

Why you should support our project ;

100% of the proceeds will go to Yayasan Cahaya Mutiara (YCMU) 

Our main way to fund our project is through entrepreneurial activities. We sell breakfast everyday in campus. Other than that, we open up booths at every occasion our university has. 

Risks that we face in completing this project are logistics and financial support. Geographically, we will have to travel to Indonesia to execute this project. Inevitably, travelling to a different country comes with risks such as health and safety issues. 

Other than that, collecting funds is the most challenging part of this project. Because 100% of the proceeds go to the foundation, we try our very best to collect as much as we can. We have also put our entrepreneur skills to the test by selling breakfast at our campus everyday. The challenge that lies here however is time management due to assignment deadlines and other projects, it is challenging to divide time for this project as well as other assignments.
