A passionate girl who is bound to the oceans. Dedicated in protecting all the animals on the planet. Never lose her faith in what is believed.
We are group of students trying to attend a practical training at Philippines. Focus of the training will be in shark tagging, data collection and survey techniques, and policy development for shark resource management. The skills acquired from the training would be essential for conducting research. New research findings of sharks may be discovered as the current field lacks the techniques that were applied in previous research.
By implementing skills such as shark-tagging, the migration path and their behaviors could be studied in order to understand their ecological importance in terms of their contribution to the marine ecosystem. As an illustration, well-designed monitoring system for endangered species is essential for case studies and necessary to establish the conservation status and to help improve management decisions. By understanding the migration pattern, we could avoid any further lives lost caused by unsustainable fishing methods by innovating advanced conservation strategies.
The funds collected will cover accommodation, transportation, utilities and visa fees. (3 students)
Accomodation -RM1500
Transporation- RM2500
visa and utilities-RM1000
*Extra funds will be used for future research purpose and conservation effort.
We really appreciate your help and support along the way of conservation. With your contribution, we could save our oceans together!
Thanks in advance for supporting us.
The biggest risk and challenges with be to raise enough funds to cover our accommodation and fees within the 2 weeks time.
