The Beginning of Wonderfly
We started the journey of our entrepreneurial life when we have decided to quit our full-time job and venture into a new business together. At the initial stage, we didn't know what we wanted to commit as the opportunity is relatively vast. However, we have decided that the travel industry is what we wanted to do as the market is growing positively every year. E-ticketing category happens a little later when we have discovered an opportunity through our unpleasant experience when purchasing tickets on the spot.
Back then, information such as price, promotion, and product information is limited due to low technology adoption by the operators in the industry. The information provided on their website is inaccurate and outdated. Furthermore, a visitor's review can barely be found on the net to use as the reference. Pricing of the attraction is also unstable as the price changes every now and then, especially during the holidays. Thus, we have concluded a few problems that customer will face when purchasing attractions ticket at the ticketing counter.
Issues faced by customers
1) Long queue line to purchase and redeem tickets: it gets worse when the weather is scorching hot or raining with thunders *gulp*
2) Limited locations to purchase tickets (eg: event, sport, concert): some of the fixed locations can be incredibly far from where you stay. *kepala pening*
3) Sold Out Tickets: when it is finally your turn, the tickets are out of stock. *GERAM*
4) Purchasing tickets online but need to be printed: where am I suppose to find a printer!!???
5) Different platform for different category of tickets: which website was it again???
6) Uncompetative Price: when did a waterpark start to charge RM 100++ for children admission???!!!
These problems had long existed for the customers when purchasing an attraction ticket. With the rising number of online shoppers and environmental conscious advocates, it was time to execute a permanent solution to solve these issues.
Solutions
1) Building an online e-ticketing platform that allows the customer to purchase and redeem admission pass using e-ticket.
2) Instant confirmation feature to allow customers to book from anywhere at anytime. There should be no boundaries for confirmation!
3) Transparent ticketing system: pricing and ticket availability is constant and competitive。
4) Skipping the long queue line by using QR code scan to enter the attractions
There are numerous benefits for the utilization of e-ticket system. The three significant benefits are Environmental Friendly, Easy Management & Storage, and Instant Admission.
Wonderfly background story
We officially started Wonderfly at the end of the year 2016 in a co-working 150sqft office space. The room was small and basic, with only two sets of desk and chair. As financial resources were limited and scarce, we did not want to incur additional cost to maintain the company's survival. Due to the lack of knowledge and zero sales results, we quickly move to a point where thoughts of giving up were constantly lingering in our heads. However, we still choose to persevere and give our best effort to achieve our dream, Wonderfly.
We work immensely day and night, regardless of it being a weekend, we have sacrificed all our time and effort in order to grow and learn. Surely enough, our hard work paid off. We develop positive results and successfully raised our first funding from Angel Investors. After the funding, we took no opportunity to slow down our speed but continued to grow rapidly.
We moved in into our first official office space and hired a team of 8 amazing team members. As compared to the fancy start-up offices with beautiful interior designs, we only provided very basic equipment for our team members. We were very fortunate as none of our team members has complained about the lack of extravagant and lush.
Thus, one of Wonderfly's main priority, to cultivate a positive, open, and growing work culture too for the maintenance of high team spirit and relationship.
We spent time with our team by going out on dinner outing, short day trips, and even having activities after working hours. As we wanted to show our appreciation and gratitude to the team, we ensure that we thank our team members in every way possible for their hard work and effort in making Wonderfly a success.

Soon enough, it was time to say goodbye to our first official office due to large number of "additional" team members.
The whole idea behind the design of the office was "creative" & "comfort".

We were fortunate to be selected as one of the 30 startups to participate in this intensive accelerator program.
Global Accelerator Program (GAP) 2018
Being one of the top 30 startups to participate in a 4-month full-time accelerator program. It is a global accelerator program that connects entrepreneurs from all over the world.
We took every opportunity to participate in any programs to enhance our knowledge, skills, and mindset in fulfilling what we believe in. Although it may be tough, we believe that it is a necessary step in realizing our dream "Wonderfly". Learning has no boundaries, and that is why we are here to participate in MyStartr.
Purpose of Fundraising
To realize "Wonderfly", we need to fulfil the condition of raising RM8,000 from the public in order to proceed into the next round of Dream Factory Start-Up Competition. The fund will be used as the registration fee for Dream Factory Start-Up Competition. The additional fund raised will be used to enhance our technology and to improve our current ticketing system.
We would be able to launch our App within 3 months if we received addition fund to fuel our technology development.
We hope that you can help us to fulfil our dream, to make Wonderfly a reality, to become the best online entertainment ticketing platform.

参加为期4个月的全职创新创业加速器加速的前30家初创公司之一。它是一个全球加速器计划,连接来自世界各地的企业家。 我们利用一切机会参与任何计划,以增强我们的知识,技能和思维方式,以实现我们的梦想。尽管一路上有荆棘和磨难,但我们相信只有持之以恒才能实现我们的梦想“Wonderfly”。学习没有界限,这就是我们参加梦想工厂创业大赛的原因。 众筹的目的

Back then, the industry was largely offline & manual-driven to the extent it caused a long queue in both ticket booking & redemption lane. Printed ticket was still largely required to grant access. That's where Wonderfly comes in and fill the gap.

We started the journey of our entrepreneurial life when we have decided to quit our full-time job and venture into a new business together. At the initial stage, we didn't know what we wanted to commit as the opportunity is relatively vast. However, we have decided that the travel industry is what we wanted to do as the market is growing positively every year. E-ticketing category happens a little later when we have discovered an opportunity through our unpleasant experience when purchasing tickets on the spot.
