In today’s society, there exists a lack of accessibility for specially-abled people in terms of
our infrastructure and facilities. Narrowing our focus, the wheelchair-bound community of
Malaysia does not have readily-available infrastructure that serve their locomotion needs.
The root of this problem is simply the lack of awareness and ignorance amongst the society
on the importance of inclusiveness and accessibility for these specially-abled individuals.
The WheelPower campaign takes a stand against this problem - raising awareness on this
issue and fighting for inclusiveness. We hope that it can also continuously encourage the
society to come together and to be the push needed for key players to fulfill their roles in
executing actions that solve the pressing problem - the lack of facilities for specially-abled
individuals.
We will place our audiences in situations where they have the chance to experience the daily
challenges and struggles faced by wheelchair-bound individuals. We hope that by injecting
empathy into the minds of our participants, it can help us to influence and make a difference
in the public’s mindset.
Hence, we want all of you to join hands together, to fight for society’s inclusiveness, as what
our tagline declares - this is “Our Fight For Inclusiveness”.
Team Introduction
We are a group of final year students currently working on a project to raise awareness on the issue of fighting for inclusiveness. The collected funds from our supporters will be donated to our beneficiary Dual Blessing to help them on a daily basis. By supporting this campaign, our supporters will be able to learn more about the struggles of specially-abled people go through.
