OBJECTIVES:

1. To increase the prestige of University of Malaya representing Malaysia at an international competition platform.
2. To allow more exposure for students of University of Malaya at performing arts competition on an international scale,
3. To enable the students in University of Malaya to have a deeper understanding of Chinese dance and Chinese culture.
4. To promote Chinese Malaysian dance on an international platform.
5. To increase the standards of participation and performance in future FESENI Chinese Dance Competition.

JUSTIFICATION:

1. To make our country, Malaysia and University of Malaysia proud of the achievements of Malaysian scholars.
2. To increase recognition of University of Malaya in the field of performing arts at an international level.
3. To allow students of University of Malaya to partake in a wider range of international competition.
4. To cultivate the spirit of patriotism amongst students and to appreciate our homeland.
5. To promote the abilities and skills amongst students in a field differing from their major course.

INTRODUCTION

We are a group of University of Malaya students consisting of 16 girls and 1 boy. Most of us are from different major course / fields such as engineering , music and pharmacy but we have the same passion towards chinese dance. We represented Tuanku Bahiyah Residential College (KK2) and participated in FESENI 2018 ( University of Malaya Arts Festival) and National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition by the dance entitled 'Fragrance of Home'. We've won the 3rd place for University of Malaya Arts Festival ( Chinese Dance ) and Distinction Award for National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition. We will again present this dance representing the National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition in the coming Bauhina Cup International Dance Championships , and to increase the prestige of University of Malaya and Malaysia on an international platform.

BAUHINIA CUP INTERNATIONAL DANCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Bauhinia Cup International Dance Championships is a dance competiton set up by the Hong Kong Dance Federation (''HKDF'') for the continuation of the ''Bauhinia Cup Dance Championship'' vision which is to enable Hong Kong and international dance artists to produce excellent works in face of the challenge of culture preservation in traditional dance and ever demanding creative presentation. It welcomes outstanding students, groups and companies from local, mainland China and overseas to enroll and share the stage and experiences with other professionals and experts. This is an invaluable exchange that would broaden the dancer's horizons through viewing and anticipation of the competition. The winner of local ''Bauhinia Cup Dance Competition'' will represent Hong Kong in the international competitions.

BUDGET PLAN FOR AMOUNT COLLECTED THROUGH CROWDFUNDING:

The funded amount collected through this platform is expected to cover around 30% of the flight ticket for 17 persons. (Total cost of flight ticket : RM9185.10) However , we are also looking for sponsors to cover the cost for accommodation and flight ticket.
