ABOUT PROJECT
INTRODUCTION
The Chansey group has the vision to improve and create a long-lasting impact through social work and crowdfunding towards the students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lajau Labuan Federal Territory. Along with the mission to collaborate with Che Cheng Khor Moral Uplifting Moral Society with the intention of working together to help Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lajau Labuan Federal Territory that requires our support or assistance through a crowdfunding campaign.
Our objective is to;
- To provide study aids like stationeries and reference books in the school library, especially for Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lajau students who will take the SPM exam;
- To raise public awareness about the value of crowdfunding campaigns, Service Learning Malaysia (SULAM) programme, and spread awareness about those who are less fortunate through social work activities.

BACKGROUND OF SMK LAJAU LABUAN F.T.

SMK Lajau Labuan F.T. is also known as SEMELA, which is a short-form acronym of the secondary school's name. This school was first established in 1997 as a government school.

Due to the diverse backgrounds of its students, this institution is unique in many ways. Additionally, this school implements an inclusive education programme that includes Labuan's handicapped youths, orphans, and students with disabilities. Therefore, an improvement to the school's library will be beneficial for all Form 5 students.

TEAM STRUCTURE:
WHY ARE WE CALLED, "THE CHANSEY"?
Like in the perfect world of Pokémon, Chanseys are kindhearted, and caring and are born to always help people that are in need no matter under what circumstances. It always smiles, regardless of its mood, and is known to bring anyone happiness. We strive to do exactly the same thing and hence the name.
RISKS AND CHALLENGES
As the future is quite unpredictable, we made sure to be ready for any risks that we might face while doing this crowdfunding campaign. The possible risks we could face is listed below;
- The challenges of raising the full amount of funds in the time frame given. The failure in gaining the targeted amount of crowdfunds is one of the major risk and challenges we must overcome.
- The risk is that the number of funds collected will surpass the budgeted amount. The number of reference books, stationery, and other items that will be provided to them would therefore need to be added.
- The risk is that the amount of money collected will be less than what was intended. As a result, we will sadly need to cut back on the supply of stationery and reference books we supply them.
