The purpose of this crowdfunding campaign is to raise funds for the upcoming community programme which is “Thank You, Our Hero 2020” that the main purposes to show appreciation towards our front liner especially in Labuan Hospital staff. This programme give a thank you gesture for their dedication and hard works throughout the pandemic situation face by our country in the form of viruses known as Covid-19. Their dedication throughout the period are unforgettable towards our community. They also fight in silence without any publicly announcement individually despite their own personal difficulty the still give their best every day to fight the disease. This programme also want to spread positivity among community and also the residences in Labuan Hospital for their hardships.

Budget Expectation

Labuan Hospital is a hospital that uses the concept of nucleus. It began construction on October 10, 1991 and was completed on January 29, 1995 where maintenance of its buildings and equipment is still under the responsibility of Construction Company YTL Sdn. Bhd until March 08, 1997. The hospital is located on an area of approximately 12,047 hectares with a total area of 31,969 square meters. It went into operation on June 10, 1995 and was officiated by Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad on August 29, 1996 with a capacity of 109 beds. In 2014, the capacity of the Labuan Hospital bed was increased to 122 beds. This Labuan hospital has access to specialist services that is expected to provide the convenience of medical care services to approximately 86,908 (2011 statistics) Labuan residents.

During this covid19 pandemic, we are very concerned to the frontliners especially those Hospital Labuan residents. Did they have enough sleep? or mentally exhausted? But, despite their difficulties, they still fighting and protecting the Labuan citizens from the virus outbreak which is Corona Virus. Thus, we should show respect and gratitude towards them by giving some appreciations. Therefore, by launching this campaign can help us to realize the sacrifices that they have made to protect the public.

This are the pictures of our team memberr for this Thank You, Our Hero 2020 project. We all are students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus, taking International Finance ( International Financial Economics) courses.

Risk and Challenges.

• If fund raised from the crowdfunding platform does not reach the target set from the total expenses estimated, therefore the plan for food distribution for will be reduce its amount and lowering its budget per meal. The meal plan and amount will not be followed according to the total budget in the end of this “Thank You, Our Hero 2020” campaign.
• If fund raised from the crowdfunding platform reach above the targeted amount of budget, then we will come out with some more thank you gesture aside from the foods and button badge.
• The worst case scenario, if the pandemic still not to be clear by the exact date of our programme and government extend the “Restriction Movement Order”. All the funds raise will still be channel to Labuan Hospital to fulfil their need for the period.
