Crowdfunding Campaign of Paws of Hope: Spay, Neuter, and Feed
Labuan is home to a growing number of stray dogs and cats that face numerous hardships, including hunger, injury, and exposure to diseases. These animals are left to fend for themselves, often suffering from malnutrition, untreated illnesses, and the threat of being harmed by other animals or people.
Without intervention, the stray population continues to grow, and these animals will face a life of pain and neglect. Paws of Hope is here to make a difference.
To reduce the stray cat and dog population in Labuan through spaying, neutering, feeding, and vaccination, creating a safer and healthier environment.
Stray cats and dogs in Labuan suffering from hunger, diseases, and neglect.
Spay and neuter 18 stray animals
Provide vaccinations
Supply food through a small food bank for strays
Partner with We Love Labuan Cats & Dogs (WLLCD) and Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar Labuan.
Conduct spay/neuter events and set up food supplies.
Our project is led by a dedicated and passionate team of students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah Labuan International Campus.
Budget:
List of donations requested by We Love Labuan Cats & Dogs (WLLCD)
Spaying & Neutering: RM2,100
Food for Strays: RM368.60
When we reach our goal to fund spaying and neutering for Labuan's stray cats and dogs, any extra funds raised won’t stay with us—they’ll be reinvested back into the community. We are committed to directing every cent toward We Love Labuan Cats & Dogs an organization dedicated to the ongoing care and well-being of Labuan’s stray animals.
But it doesn’t end with spaying and neutering. Your support will also fuel efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide the stray animals with a chance at a better life. With your generous donations, we can create a ripple effect that reaches more animals and supports the community's ongoing fight for animal welfare
These animals face daily challenges—hunger, disease, and neglect—yet with your contribution, we can give them the chance they deserve. Through our campaign, we aim to not only curb the stray population but also provide essential care to improve the lives of these vulnerable animals. Every dollar you contribute extends our impact, creating lasting change and a more compassionate community for everyone.
"Be Part of the Solution. Help Us Give Them a Better Tomorrow."
Donate today and join us in making Labuan a safer, kinder place for its stray animals. Every act of kindness counts, and together, we can create real, positive change.
1) Insufficient Funding:
The project may not raise enough funds through the crowdfunding campaign to cover all expenses. Specifically, the fundraising goal of RM3,527.14 is required to cover the cost of spaying, neutering, vaccinations, food provisions, transportation, and rewards for donors. If the total funds raised fall short, essential services like food and medical care may be compromised.
The project depends on RM3,463.42 to cover the total expenses, but if the campaign raises less, the risk is that not all animals will receive the necessary treatment or care.
2) Excess Funds:
If the campaign raises more funds than expected, there is the possibility of surplus funds.
Any surplus funds will be directed towards We Love Labuan Cats & Dogs, ensuring that they are used to continue supporting the stray animal care efforts.
