Who can submit?

We're only open to Candidate Members of the Malaysian Writers Society!

If you're not one yet, don't worry. You can sign up via our website if you fulfill the following criteria! (P.S. We'll waive the RM40 registration fee if you signup from now until 1st May!)

1. Individual Malaysian citizen or permanent residence of any age without publication in which they have been credited as author, editor, literary translator or contributor in an an Approved Publication.
2. Non-Malaysian individual of full age who  has resided in Malaysia for at least 1 calendar year while involved in the Malaysian writing community, without publication in which they have been credited as author, editor, literary translator or contributor in an Approved Publication.

APPROVED PUBLICATIONS

1. Any publication bearing an International Standard Book Number (ISBN).
2. Film, Screen or Play Credits, able to be certified by Producer of Film, TV or Play Production if so required.
3. Any literary magazine or periodical, in print, eformat or online, which fulfills ALL of the following criteria:-
   • has been in publication for a minimum period of 5 years;
   • has published at least 20 issues since its commencement; and
   • is a paying market, i.e. pays for written contributions by way of monetary compensation.

MYWriters Anthology Submission Guidelines

1. All genres of writing are welcome.
2. Submissions can be in any Malaysian language. Submissions in languages other than English or Malay should be accompanied with a translation in English or Malay. 
3. Simultaneous submissions are not allowed.
4. All submitted works must be previously unpublished (If it has appeared on your blog/social media, we kindly ask that you do not submit it for this anthology)
5. No uneccessary explicit/excessive violence, erotica, or swearing. 
6. Use the Standard Manuscript Format.

Terms and Conditions

1. Accepted authors will receive 3 print copies, an ebook, and a 1 year full membership for the Malaysian Writers Society (worth RM100).
2. Authors retain copyright of their stories/poetry.
3. Malaysian Writers Society will receive first Malaysian Publication Rights and first Worldwide Electronic Publication rights for 2 years.
4. After 2 years, publication rights revert to the author.
