UHMWPE, a special fabric that can’t be torn easily even with a knife

UHMWPE is an ultra high molecular weight polyethylene fabric which is 15 times stronger than steel. It resists extreme shock, abrasion and effects from chemicals. UHMWPE’s applications range from biomaterial for joint replacements to military body armor. And now you can use it to protect your wallet, passport, smartphone, etc. while traveling.

When worn, contents of your Metodo’s anti-theft bag are protected on all exposed sides with level-5 slash-proof material that can withstand a good knife slashing. It keeps your belongings secure inside along with your memories.

CUT RESISTANT LEVEL - EN388 Level 4

Certified Level 4 Cut Resistant UHMWPE (High Level by EN388 European Testing Standard). This high rated material costs 40% more that the Level 4 UHMWPE used in many other competing brands of bags. In standardized testing, Level 4 material requires up to twice as many blade passes to cut through as Lower Level rated material. 

Slash Proof on All Exposed Sides. Many other backpacks only incorporate a panel or two of UHMWPE in combination with vulnerable, non-anti-cut material. In contrast, the vast majority of a Metodo bag’s surface is UHMWPE – Front, Sides, Top, Bottom, Pockets, and All Straps. It’s more of more costly material that requires a laser to cut.

Why do we need TSA LOCK?

It is a lock that is certified by TSA(Transportation Security Administration), so that your bag can be inspected without damaging the lock when entering airport security check points in the United States.

If TSA agents find any suspicious bag at airports, they have the power to open it without the permission of its owner. At this time, when the bag is locked with a general lock, passengers can’t be held responsible for the damage of their bags even if the agents voluntarily breaks the lock and searches for baggage.

TSA-certified locks can be opened via the master key, so it is available to search baggage without breaking the lock.
