Who we are:

LFTN is the initiative of a group of students to help society in raising the level of education for the less fortunate in Malaysia. LFTN’s aim is to help and inspire students who are in need for basic necessities, such as a laptop. We provide them with electronics devices and "E-Learning" learning apps for them to get a proper education. LFTN is a collaboration project with Yayasan Salam Malaysia (YSM). Laptops and computers are essentials in modern education but not every student is fortunate enough to acquire one.

What we have did:

Previously with this initiative, we have helped 3 students who lacked learning tools. These people have later shown excellent improvement in academic performance.

Our current project at University of Malaya are organized by Sekretariat Sukarelawan Universiti Malaya:

We will provide electronic devices such as computers or tablets at welfare homes installed with E-Learning applications for children from as early as 4 years up to 12 years. This course will cover subjects such as English, Science, and Mathematics through offline. We will also provide learning through educational videos for them. There are four welfare homes to be involved and we will find more welfare homes in the near future. 

For University students, we will provide electronic devices such as computers or laptops to facilitate them to learn and perform academic tasks. Students will need to undergo volunteer activities as part of their

Our hope:

We believe that this initiative will be able to help students in needs to gain proper educational facilities and we will expand this effort. Indirectly, this will improve the educational level of all less fortunate.

Since this project is a non-profit project, your funding will be handled ethically and with honesty. This is our promise. Helping each other is the biggest satisfaction for humanity and this project might do just that. Help us to help them. Your contribution is widely welcomed and to be tanked for.

The total cost that we need:

A Computer / Laptop (unit) = RM 500.00
RM 500 X 100 units = RM 50,000.00
Transportation cost
RM 500.00
Total cost = RM 50,500.00

Donate above RM 100 are eligible to receive tax exemption receipt.

Challenges with legal issues of windows and other application.
We are collaborating with Yayasan Salam Malaysia, a trusted NGO in Malaysia and was acknowledged by TechSoup Global to provide the software and other programmes. Thanks to YSM we got the software at the cheapest price which enables us to install Original Microsoft Programmes in our computers and laptops. Only cost us RM 30 for each laptop compare to outside RM 150.
