ABOUT PROJECT
WHAT IS HOPE SABAH?
Holistic Potential Enhancement Programme (HOPE) Sabah is YATIM's High Impact Learning Program. This program is organized jointly by YATIM and Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and runs over the course of 2 years (2019-2020). Our 120 participants are from form 4 students (who are orphans and from the B40 group) from three different districts i.e. Tuaran, Ranau and Kota Belud, Sabah. This program will be managed by 46 facilitators, administrator and volunteers which are selected jointly by YATIM and UMS.
OBJECTIVES OF HOPE SABAH?
The objectives of this program are:
A. To provide exposure to students in knowing their true potential,
B. To improve motivation and strengthen self-confidence and enhance self-management skills among students to be more effective,
C. To enhance students’ awareness to be visionary, disciplined, have mental, physical, and spiritual strength to meet future challenges.
WHAT IS HOPE SABAH PROGRAM STRUCTURE?
HOPE Sabah is divided into 4 series. The selected students who join this program will participate in these 4 different programs. Each programme will be in a format of 3 days and 2 nights. Dates and venue will be informed to the students from time to time.
YEAR 1/2019
(Phase 1 / Semester 1) /3 Days 2 Nights
Self-development Motivational program.
1. To provide exposure to students in understanding their potential and improving motivation.
2. To strengthen self-confidence and build self-management skills among students (mind setting)

1. To provide and prepare students with learning techniques and study skills

Why Crowdfunding?
The main reason we choose to do crowdfunding is to reach a larger audience so that more kind-hearted people will contribute or sponsor this program. As YATIM' operations rely heavily on public funding, YATIM is seeking like-minded citizen who would like to contribute, small or big, to support orphan education programs.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
RISK AND CHALLENGES?
The main risks and challenges that we face in completing this project are logistics and financial. One of our risks is transportation. The cost is very high to charter buses to brings participants from Ranau, Tuaran and Kota Belud to Kem Latihan Belia Kundasang. YATIM needs to bear the cost of transportation that will reach RM7,000 for 3 buses.

YATIM is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established as a Limited Liability Company (Company Limited by Guarantee). YATIM's programs has undergone various improvements over the past 27 years. The strategies of implementing YATIM programs are divided into two namely; Education and Development Programs.
