Shelter of Hope,Penampang

INTRODUCTION
This crowdfunding project is based on the main objective of this fundraising project which is to raise funds to build a high-platform shelter for cats and dogs at Shelter of Hope. Shelter of Hope is a non-governmental organization (NGO) located in Kg Tuavon, Penampang, Sabah. The organization has been operating for the past 10 years by the shelter’s owner, Ms. Adrienne and her children with the goal of rescuing stray, injured and injured animals thus giving them veterinarian care and a place for them to recover and return home. They strongly believed that no animal should suffer or starve. However, the shelter has faced the threat of floods many times over the past few years and needs shelter renovations that will affect their funds.

OUR PURPOSE
This crowdfunding campaign aims to hold a charity fund for an animal shelter at Shelter of Hope Penampang. The purpose of this project is to build a high platform house for the cats and dogs in the shelter as flooding is one of the threats the shelter faces. Due to the flooding problem, the shelter has suffered losses of animals lives and necessities therefore, this campaign will greatly benefit the dogs and cats in this shelter through the donations that are received, to ensure the strays are able to live a continuous life.

Our HOPE
We hope that this proposal will be approved by the collaborator and our coordinator to ensure the success of this crowdfunding project. We too hope that by the end of this project, the animals in the shelter will have a new house for them to live a continuous life safely.

PENGENALAN
Projek crowdfunding ini adalah berdasarkan objektif utama projek pengumpulan dana ini iaitu untuk mengumpul dana bagi membina tempat perlindungan berplatform tinggi untuk kucing dan anjing di Shelter of Hope. Shelter of Hope ialah sebuah pertubuhan bukan kerajaan (NGO) yang terletak di Kg Tuavon, Penampang, Sabah. Organisasi itu telah beroperasi sejak 10 tahun lalu oleh pemilik pusat perlindungan, Cik Adrienne dan anak-anaknya dengan matlamat untuk menyelamatkan haiwan sesat, cedera dan cedera sekali gus memberi mereka penjagaan doktor haiwan dan tempat untuk mereka pulih dan pulang ke rumah. Mereka sangat percaya bahawa tiada haiwan yang harus menderita atau kelaparan. Bagaimanapun, pusat perlindungan itu telah berdepan dengan ancaman banjir berkali-kali sejak beberapa tahun lalu dan memerlukan pengubahsuaian tempat perlindungan yang akan menjejaskan dana mereka.

TUJUAN KAMI
Kempen crowdfunding ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan tabung amal untuk tempat perlindungan haiwan di Shelter of Hope Penampang. Tujuan projek ini adalah untuk membina rumah platform tinggi untuk kucing dan anjing di tempat perlindungan kerana banjir adalah salah satu ancaman yang dihadapi oleh tempat perlindungan. RISKS AND CHALLENGES
Risk and Challenges
- Failure to achieve crowdfunding target.
- Any finance that has been pledged will usually be returned to the investors. In case that this project could not reach the target, this project would not be considered done as the shelter could not be built completely.
- Underestimating the cost of fulfillment.
- Without reliable and accurate cost estimates, it is impossible to set the right target. Failing to deliver on the promises to the campaign can lead to a lawsuit and bankruptcy. Getting the rewards or returns wrong can mean giving away too much to pledgers.
- Underestimating the work and time managing the crowdfunding campaign.
- Team could not keep up to respond to questions and suggestions from supporters, keeping social media activities running and trying to capture the public’s attention. Failed projects will risk damage to the reputation of Shelter of Hope. Until our target is within reach, the pressure is on constantly to do more of everything
- Problems with crowdfunding platform.
- If we fail to collect the budget target, the project will be removed from the platform, and we will have to start again from scratch. In addition, in the event of bankruptcy, there may be a claim against our personal assets. Moreover, scammers are always targeting online platforms.
