SJK(T) YMHA is a Malaysian Tamil primary school situated at Jalan Stesen Hulu, Taiping Perak. Approximately around 85 students are receiving their primary education at this school whereas 14 teachers are contributing greatly to their flourishment together with around 7 staff assisting the administration, management, and such of the school as well. Looking at a brief history of the school, while beaming with pride for being recognized as one of the oldest Tamil schools in Taiping, SJK(T) YMHA was established in 1918 by the British-Colonial. The main reason for the establishment of this school was to cater Tamil community that lived in Taiping and its surrounding as a social and religious centre. However, this land is owned by the Young Men Association, Taiping. Hence, the school was named as Young Men's Hindu Association Tamil school but now it’s prominently recognized as SJK(T) YMHA, Taiping.
In conjunction to the final year students of HE19 being assigned to carry out a crowdfunding project consisting of 5 members in every group in their final semester under the Corporate Finance (GA30203) course, the leader of the Hope Crowdfunding Campaign, Praveena Krishnamoorthi opted to pay a visit to the school to approach the Headmistress of SJK(T) YMHA, Madam Indragandi A/P Karuppanan to receive permission on the execution of the campaign and also to inquire about the current state of the school and what the school needs the most currently to aid in the learning process of students.

As of the headmistress, we were told that the school is in need of a PA system. She quoted that the school views the PA system to be essential in order to execute programmes :
Besides that, the PA system will also lend a helping hand at times of event:
Taking the current situation in to focus, Malaysia has moved on from the pandemic phase to the endemic phase where normal, routine activities at schools will resume however strictly implying the new norms which are to ensure social distancing as well as sanitizing and using face masks. At times as these, it is highly believed that PA system would be the best fit for service to be sponsored to SJK(T) YMHA with the sole motive to aid the learning process, academic growth and also improvement and participation in extracurricular activities of students.
Risk
1. We may not be able to achieve the target amount as much as RM 3847.80 in such short time of period.
Challenges
2. Finding the potential contributors will be the hardest task.
3. During this pandemic, most of the tasks will be challenging as we must follow the SOPs. The huge disadvantage is the pandemic will prevent the time for us to gather and discuss about the project in depth.
This project is an assignment of the students in University Malaysia Sabah, Labuan Faculty of International Finance, and may not be suitable for everyone.
