Daisy Production is the creation of 5 student filmmakers while working on their final year project. It is a production that aims to explore the fine-line of social-realism issues in a form of social-drama. We are on a mission to spread awareness regarding social issues among youth nowadays (teenage pregnancy, illegal abortion, abandoned babies and other related social ills) through our Final Year Project short film, "Hidup". Our film is about Mawar, a college student, finds out she is 12 weeks pregnant with a baby bump already forming. She wants to perform an abortion because she can't afford to raise a child. She finds a shady clinic that does abortions, far from her home. However, Mawar begins to discover the difficulty of performing an abortion in a country where it is illegal for single, unmarried women.

We are currently in the pre-production phase and we require all the help we can get to reach our production budget goal of RM12,340 to make this film possible. The budget summary is as shown below:

The main obstacle that my team is facing currently is the budget to produce this film. We are seeking to pitch our film idea for film grants from various production houses and equipment rental houses in Malaysia.
