Global Rewards

Global rewards is a brainchild of G8Appz PLT. It will be the worlds first reward program that will be applicable across boundaries.

Are you one of them who carries multiple reward cards? Do you love loyalty programs? Shopping trends have changed drastically over the past decade among urban folks. We love options for most things (even when choosing a life partner for some :) haha) This has lead to the mushrooming of different shopping avenues and these trends have made shopping seem borderless. 15 years back, shopping from another country was only available if you visited that country but nowadays, with online shopping avenues, with just a few clicks of the mouse, you can have your favourite item shipped to your door step within a few days. It has become a norm that many people are shopping locally, internationally and online.

With this trend, there comes certain limitations with loyalty programs. Loyalty programs offered these days are very much localized and limited to certains merchants due to inability for smaller level merchants to join and provide value to their customers. After looking at many different loyalty programs and speaking to almost 20000 comsumers about their take on loyalty programs, we have decided to develop Global Rewards. 

Global Rewards is going to be the barrier breaker for all the limitations that is available within traditional loyalty programs. With global rewards, you will now be able to collect reward points regardless of whether you shop online, in a store or even while you are holidaying in another country. You will never miss another point when you shop with our Merchants because you will always have your phone with you. Some even facebook while waiting at the cashier counter to pay until the cashier has to alert them to pay.. hahaha...  With our easy to use mobile app platform, your collection of rewards will be limitless. 

Another great feature that you will benefit as a Global Rewards user is that you will always know exactly how many points you have accumulated and how much more you exactly need to make your next preferred redemption. This can make you shop smart!! Hence, saving your cash as well. All these information will be clearly displayed within your app console. 

Let's talk about our progress so far: 

Merchants: 

We have currently proposed this idea to many Merchants and we have 126 of them from different business sectors who are waiting to hop on board. This is just the beginning. Our milestones have been set until 2018 and achieving this milestone will see Global Rewards in 5 countries within the Asian region. 

App Development:

We are currently at the UI and functionality design phase. We will be entering the development phase in July 2016 and we expect to role out the app in September 2016. 

Features: 

1) Globy - You will be a Globy! This section in the app is where you will be able to view your points, upcoming redemptions, previous redemptions and all your account details

2) Glober - Glober is a name given to to all our Merchants! This portions of the app will showcase to you all Global Rewards partner merchants whom you can get points from for shopping

3) Glober Trekker - This is a GPS messaging system built within the app. If you turn on your GPS on your device, Globe Trekker will notify all globies if there is a glober nearby. So the next time you go shopping, remember to turn on your GPS because a glober might be just next door to where you are. Never miss out a single point!! 

4) Globy Mania - This is one place that a globy will be able to see CRAZY bargains being offered by globers. This will most of the time be limited time stuff. So if you are a bargain hunter, keep a look out!!! Your next bargain may appear anytime

5) Global Connect - This is a social feature that will connect all globies and globers through the app. 

Global apps is a rapidly growing company with high expertise in the field of mobile app development. You can find a few of our apps in Google Play Store and Apple Store which we have developed for small businesses. We now plan to take our app development skills to greater heights via Global Rewards.

Together we have 3 in-house programmers and 2 marketing personnel

We have placed an initial funding budget of RM 60,000. Out of these, RM 32,000 will be allocated for phase 1 development, testing and deployment while the remaining amount will be used for our marketing and promotional efforts which is already in the pipeline. We have the entire range of marketing efforts including a grand launch with potential celebrities and media. We will have a strong online presence with a solid support team to make this project a great success.

The main challenge we foresee is cross borders dollar to point conversion because it involves many different surrencies. We are studying this factor now and are confident we will resolve it by the testing phase.
