What is Hopehome's "Children's Happy Learning Programme"?

The Children's Happy Learning Programme is a class designated to provide a safe, loving, environment for children to grow and learn in. Our objectives' to allow busy parents a piece of mind through the providence of safe place for their children to hang out, catch up with school work, and make new friends after school.

Children's Happy Learning Programme is held in Kluang, Johor.

It is opened to children aged 6 to 12.

Fees: Completely Free.

Venue: A Rented Classroom within The Gabriel Classroom

Address: 48B Jalan Sekolah Chong Hwa

Date: Every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 2pm to 6pm.

This programme will run from January to March 2018

Why do we start the Children's Happy Learning Programme?

Through our ministry in Johor, we have realised that many children lack accompaniment as well as guidance in the early stages of their lives. This leads to an exponential increase of children seeking to head out to the streets (this, in fact, is one of the leading factors of rape cases, vehicular accidents, etc).

With the lack of parental guidance, children too find it hard to catch up with their intended curriculum. Many stayed back many years in school and some even dropped out of school all together as a result.

What have we Achieved thus far?

Throughout the first season of the Children's Happy Learning Programme, we have provided children with a listening ear, we have resolved many familial conflicts, we have also seen children making drastic achievement in their curriculum because they're now able to catch up with their school work.

With the added sense of belonging, children now have a special responsibility to look out for one another. Rebellious activities decreased and children start taking the initiative to fulfill their educational responsibilities and helping each other when the need arises.

Through these efforts, we have benefitted 15 children and their families in total.

In the Second Season We Aim to:

 - Minister to 35 children and their families.

 - Link up with elder care services as well as other volunteers groups within Kluang, allowing these children to learn about their operations and Malaysia's future needs.

Hopehome's Financial Backings:

Hopehome's main financial income is derived from the donations of our part time volunteer teachers. Because of these financial limitations, we are limited in our scope of service and can only serve a handful of families.

How will your donations benefit Hopehome?

Your donations will be used in the following areas:
 - Support us by providing our financial needs in the provision of teaching equipments
 - Stationaries and other accessories
 - Food and beverage for students
 - Others: Love gift to our venue sponsor "The Gabriel Classroom Music School", as well as some financial allowances for our volunteer teachers.

* - "Offering to main organisers" are love gifts to our main organisers and main teachers for their effort in preparing and executing of all these classes.

** Our organisers are full time workers in Hopehome who does not take any salary. This portion of love gift is a gift as a reward for these volunteers hardwork in the preparation and execution of this programme.

*** HOPEHOME Children's Happy Learning Programme has a team of 10 volunteers. They are mainly secondary school students who offer their time after school to teach and help primary school students with their homework. This love gift is an encouragement for their love for these little students.

Why Crowdfunding?

The "Children's Happy Learning Programme" is a completely free class, open to all children from all socio-economic background(s). We practice this so as to minimize and possible discrimination that might arise between families and students.

Hence, we are looking into Crowdfunding as our main source of funding.

Hopehome firmly believe that through Crowdfunding, we can increase the awareness of this class, while opening the opportunity for the community to participate in funding this good deed!

Without the Children's Happy Learning Programme, children often lack the accompaniment they require when parents are busy at work. Children will often be left to roam the street, leading to unintended accidents and harm done to the children.

Since the start of our Children's Happy Learning Programme, we have watched the physical, psychological, emotional, and social growth of the children within our programme! We have watched them make improvements in their studies, as well as their familial relationships.

When these children recognises that they are loved and cared for, they feel respected and gained a sense of security that will help resolve all rebellious acts adults are concerned about.
