ABOUT PROJECT
INTRODUCTION
The "Your needs, our priority" programme was created as a project for completing the International Corporate Finance course by collaborating with Keningau Inspirational Association Keningau (SENI) in collecting donations and funds to provide educational facilities. All contributions must be directed to Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau with the intention to set up a comfortable and conducive learning environment.
BACKGROUND OF THE COMMUNITY & COLLABORATOR
Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau is registered under the Sabah state islamic affairs department (JHEAINS). We selected this school to help and focus what they need and also hoping that we can fulfil the student's educational needs that are woefully insufficient. Puan Rosnani Abdullah established this school in Taman Sabana Keningau. At first this school was called Madrasah Nur Ikhwan and now changed to Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan.
Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan has three types of schools:
- Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SAR) Integrasi Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau
- Sekolah Menengah Agama Rakyat (SMAR) Nur Ikhwan Keningau
- Madrasah Pondok Nur Ikhwan Keningau
Hence, our goal is collecting and distribution of financial aid by providing educational equipment and other necessities to SRI TAHFIZ NUR IKHWAN KENINGAU, who represent the majority of people who are less fortunate.
In order to achieve the project for the sake of Student of Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan, Keningau Inspirational Youth Association (SENI) under Ministry of Youth and Sports Keningau has agree to collab with our team to collect the fund. This organization lead by Mr Iranmal bin Hj Kasan which the organization actively doing the crowdfunding project in Keningau since the organization has established for years ago with a lot of achievement where they had successfully done more than 50 volunteer works in Keningau. This we can see where this organization had received The Duke of Edinburgh's Malaysia Award. "Inspire, Bulid & Grow Better Generation" is a motto of this amazing organization. Apart from that, the project also supported by Ministry of Youth and Sports Keningau where Mr Madlee Mason as the president has agree to support the project.
THE OBJECTIVE
- Provide assistance in the form of energy, knowledge and skills
- Cultivate an awareness of the environment 's community and care for it

PENGENALAN
Program "Your Needs, Our Priority" diwujudkan sebagai projek untuk melengkapkan kursus Kewangan Korporat Antarabangsa dengan kerjasama Persatuan Belia Inspirasi Keningau (SENI) dalam mengumpul derma dan dana untuk menyediakan kemudahan pendidikan. Segala sumbangan hendaklah diberikan kepada Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau denhan niat untuk mewujudkan suasana pembelajaran yang selesa dan kondusif.
LATAR BELAKANG KOMUNITI DAN RAKAN USAHA SAMA
Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau didaftarkan di bawah Jabatan Hal Ehwal Agama Islam Negeri Sabah (JHEAINS). Kami memilih sekolah ini untuk membantu dan memberi fokus kepada keperluan pelajar tersebut dan berharap dapat memenuhi keperluan pelajar tersebut dalam bidang akademik yang kurang berkecukupan. Puan Rosnani menubuhkan sekolah ini di Taman Sabana Keningau. Sekolah ini diberi nama Madrasah Nur Ikhwan sebelum digantikan kepada Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan.
Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan terdiri daripada tiga jenis sekolah iaitu:
- Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SAR) Integrasi Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau
- Sekolah Menengah Agama Rakyat (SMAR) Nur Ikhwan Keningau
- Madrasah Pondok Nur Ikhwan Keningau
Dengan itu,matlamat kami adalah untuk mengumpulkan dan mengagihkan bantuan dana dengan menyediakan peralatan pembelajaran dan keperluan lain kepada Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan Keningau, yang majoritinya terdiri daripada golongan yang kurang bernasib baik.
Dalam usaha untuk mencapai projek ini bagi kepentingan pelajar di Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan, Persatuan Belia Inspirasi Keningau (SENI) di bawah Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Keningau telah bersetuju untuk berkolaborasi dengan pasukan kami untuk mengumpulkan dana tersebut. Organisasi ini diketuai oleh Mr Iranmal bin Hj Kasan yang mana pertubuhan itu giat menjalankan projek crowdfunding di Keningau sejak bertahun-tahun lalu dengan banyak pencapaian di mana mereka telah berjaya melakukan lebih daripada 50 kerja sukarelawan di keningau. Hal ini dapat dilihat di mana organisasi ini telah menerima Anugerah Malaysia Duke of Edinburgh. "Inspire, Bulid & Grow Better Generation" ialah moto organisasi yang menakjubkan ini. Selain itu projek itu turut disokong oleh Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Keningau di mana Encik Madlee Mason selaku presiden telah bersetuju untuk menyokong projek tersebut.
OBJEKTIF
• Memberi bantuan dalam bentuk tenaga, pengetahuan dan kemahiran
• Memupuk kesedaran masyarakat alam sekitar dan menjaganya

RISKS AND CHALLENGES

Crowdfunding has been around for quite a while now, but it wasn’t until recently that it got its own place in the financial world.
For this reason, not all investors are knowledgeable about how equity crowdfunding works. They may occasionally be skeptical of our event, which can present as distrust when you need them to trust you. Knowing they might trust an experienced investor more than they would trust you may stop them from investing in our event. This also will make our funding target may be not met.
This platform also not familiar to public. We need to provide instructions or building up interest before make the transactions. There are some of people who lack of knowledge about this platform. People used to make the transaction by directly transfer through banking or in cash.
Next, the locality of the community and the collaborator is quite difficult for us to reach them. Since the location is at Keningau, Sabah far away from university. Hence, we struggle to communicate with each other because some of them take time to respond.

Crowdfunding telah wujud sejak sekian lama sehingga ia mendapat tempat tersendiri dalam dunia kewangan.
Hal ini kerana, tidak semua pelabur arif tentang cara sistem ini berfungsi. Mereka agak meragui projek crowdfunding dimana kejayaan projek ini memerlukan kepercayaan mereka. Oleh itu, mereka lebih mempercayai pelabur yang berpengalaman dan berpengaruh jika dibandingkan dengan kami yang baru membina nama dan kepercayaan orang sekeliling. Perkara ini akan menjadikan sasaran pembiayaan kami mungkin tidak tercapai.
Platform ini juga tidak biasa kepada orang ramai. Kami perlu memberikan arahan atau membina minat sebelum melakukan transaksi. Terdapat beberapa orang yang kurang pengetahuan tentang sistem ini. Pelabur lazimnya membuat transaksi dengan memindahkan terus melalui perbankan atau secara tunai.
Seterusnya, lokasi projek dan rakan kongsi berada di Keningau, Sabah dimana lokasi ini agak jauh dari kampus kami. Oleh itu, kami sukar untuk berkomunikasi antara satu sama lain kerana mengambil masa yang lama dalam berkomunikasi mahupun perkongsian maklumat.

I am Nurhayati binti Salim as a project leader of the "Your Needs, Our Priority" project. I am also an undergraduate student from Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Labuan International Campus. The project is a part of GD30103, International Corporate Finance assessment. My aim for this project is I wish I am able to provide the student of Pusat Sri Tahfiz Nur Ikhwan a conducive place in learning Al-Quran and Hadith. Hence, the project is able to achieve one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) which is quality education. Next, helping people who are in need is a part of therapy where I found peaceful and joyful. Hank Rosso also have said “Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.” Let's fight for them!
