“Fayse The Music” – Crowd Funded Music Album Project

Are you really anticipating Fayse’s debut album? Now this is your chance! We are putting the honour and Fayse’s fate in your hand allowing you to decide whether Fayse should be producing his first solo album, by investing in it through pre-order.

We have a strong team, a brilliant concept behind the BIG idea, and definite confidence in Fayse’s music, but we do not have the luxury of funding, and the most crucial of all, we are uncertain if your ever-going enquiries in regards to whether Fayse’s would be releasing his solo album could potentially be translated into actual album sales.

Fayse’s album will carry the title 《Fayse The Music》- inclusive of 7 songs (4 Originals by Fayse + 3 Cover songs) ; 3 Music Videos will be produced. All these would easily sum up to a forecasted production cost of RM50,000. Based on pre-order selling price of RM40 each (postage within Peninsular Malaysia waived, Sabah, Sarawak & overseas delivery postage will be charged accordingly), we have done the calculation and decided that we would materialize the project and kick off the album production, ONLY if we could raise a minimum of RM30,000. This will be done via Crowd Funding online over a course of limited time period of 60 days. Under any circumstances, if this number is not achieved by end of the Crowd Funding campaign, your contribution will be refunded, and the project will then be called off.

Are you willing to invest in good music? If so, this will be the first ever crowd-funded Chinese Album in Malaysia! It’s all up to you!

Fayse's demo single which was meant to promote his Dine-in Concert, has received impressive air play on local radio stations.

消失10年，吴国菲自从在去年9月出现于何芸妮主催的《脱口唱》后，继而因为大家要求在今年5月办了爆满的《吴国菲 我不是歌手 飨乐会》，就一直不断有人询问吴国菲什么时候推出专辑？媒体询问、乐迷询问、身边的好朋友询问，因为音乐会爆满而买不到票的朋友也在问。

我们知道为什么询问度那么高——

1）那晚的《飨乐会》展现了吴国菲超强的演唱天赋和强烈的Live音乐魅力；
2）吴国菲的个人风格独特——游走在Funk、Acid Jazz、Blues的流行曲风；
3）吴国菲自己创作的歌曲除了风格强烈，每一首都有深刻的个人故事，是个用心创作的音乐人；
4）吴国菲翻唱别人的歌，注入让人意想不到的个人风格，超High的；
5）大马中文流行音乐中少见此类曲风，大家通过吴国菲的演绎发现了Funk的魅力。

吴国菲和音乐总监Ee Jing的音乐默契，为当晚的每一首歌烙上一个属于Fayse的音乐水印。于是，大家期待能够听到更多吴国菲、希望能够收藏吴国菲的音乐。也许，也期待吴国菲的音乐，能让大马音乐面貌变得更多姿。

大家的询问是一种鼓舞。虽然这一切不在吴国菲或这个团队的规划内，我们决定再出力，发现更多吴国菲音乐的可能性。我们从统筹、制作、编曲、设计、文案、摄影、宣传都做了专业的具体计划，务必让吴国菲的Live音乐原貌录制成一张值得收藏的专辑。用飨乐会的同一组高水准音乐班底，进录音室演奏真乐器、真声音、原音呈现！供你收藏吴国菲的Live音乐魅力！

只是，我们不想做一张“自己爽”的专辑。我们不想做一张无人问津的好专辑。我们要做一张大家愿意出钱买来收藏的专辑。我们也不想因为不肯定市场反应是否会好，而要求专业的音乐人、制作人、统筹团队义务帮忙。我们要为专业幕后人付专业费。

所以，我们需要你们以真金白银的方式投资、预购。除了预购，你也可以乐捐／赞助的方式投资任何数额。

Winner of 2004 Astro Talent Quest, it has been 10 years since Fayse last set foot on stage. He was brought into limelight again last September, since his appearance in an Open Mic session hosted by renowned jazz singer Winnie Ho. By popular demand, Winnie’s team gone beyond by organizing Fayse’s fullhouse mini concert

We know why:

1) Fayse’s  dine-in concert is a perfect display of  his vocal talent and his ability to carry solid live music performances;
2) Fayse’s brand of music is unique ——  a mix of Funk, Acid Jazz, Blues and pop;
3) Fayse’s original pieces are personal and touching, he writes music from his heart;
4) Fayse’s cover versions never fail to surprise everyone with his own unique interpretation;
5) Funk music is a rare genre in local Chinese music industry, Fayse has in a way opened eyes of local music fans.

The chemistry of Fayse and the music director of the dine-in concert Ee Jeng was so strong that sparked off the born of new brand of music that very night. As a result, everyone is longing for more.

Enquiries on Fayse’s album project is so encouraging that we have decided to give the idea a try. We have planned everything, from music production to A&R, we have a full team of professionals in the industry. We will be engaging the same team of musicians for this album project, which has done such a great job for the dine-in concert, to ensure that we uphold  the same high music quality as per what we have achieved in the concert. This is going to be a LIVE funk-acid jazz-blues-pop album recorded and mastered in studio for your enjoyment, an a ultimate “Be-There” experience that we are bringing to the theatre of your mind.

However, we do not want to produce an album which we are happy with, but has no market for. We want to produce a quality-assured music album which people love and want to collect, which you  are willing to pay for. We know those who attended the concert are convinced, and a lot of you are curious.

We need you to tell us if you are willing to contribute and invest t in the idea of Fayse’s album, through real Ringgits and cents. You can choose to pre-order the album, or donate whatever amount you love.
