Why are we doing this project?
There are several main reasons that made us to decide develop on this energy simulator. Firstly, the simulator title is one of the critical issues that we are facing currently which is environmental protection. By develop this simulator/game, we will be able to educate public on how the energy is being produced and appreciate them because energy does not just generate naturally. Secondly, we are obsessed with video game since we were young and ambitious to produce our own game. We think this is an appropriate opportunity for us to achieve it with current team members. Lastly, we would like to encourage more IT related professionals to involve and develop in gaming field.
How to play the simulator?
Users are responsible to develop and manage a city’s energy production in this simulator. There are various of energy sources available in this simulator which including fossil energy sources and renewable energy sources. The goal of this simulator is to achieve highest score which based on city population.
Along the city development, users will need to decide and manage the energy demand and supply of the city. Each of the energy source will required development cost for the energy production and it also lead to different level of environment pollution. Users will need to cater environmental pollution that created by energy production. Government authority will impose fine to users if city pollution level is exceeded its permitted level. Additionally, income can be generated by supplying energy sources to the city.
In order to increase the energy production efficiency and reduce environmental pollution, users are required to invest on energy sources R & D. Users have to manage and maintain city energy production in balance manner and they will need to take these factors into consideration: energy production cost, energy efficiency, level of environmental pollution, R & D that spend on energy sources. What makes us different from others?
There are similar game titles in the market currently but the gameplay is different from ours. The existing game titles type is more to puzzle type and mini game, what are we intend to do is economic simulation. Economic simulation will involve more complicated gameplay and details of control. We are focusing more on attention to details as well as the gameplay quality.
What is the planned project timeline?
August 2018 – Game design planning
September 2018 – Game user interface
October 2018 & November 2018 - Game development which include logic and integration of graphics
December 2018 onward - Alpha testing.

What made us to participate in this contest?
The main reason to participate in this contest is because we are desperately to gain public funding support to realize our project. With the funding support, it will assist us to perfected the development of simulator especially user interface(graphics) area by hiring designer and also to ensure the project able to deliver as per planned timeline. Besides that, this is a golden opportunity for us to test the market respond as not many in the market are involve in gaming field.
As we am not specializing in energy industry, some read up related to this project must be done along the simulator development.
Our experience and technical skills are not graphical related. Therefore, we will need to engage a designer to handle the graphical parts of this simulator. Besides that, in order to develop this simulator we have to pay for the software engine & licensing fee.
Lastly, we will need public support regardless financially or voluteer to motivate us on this project development.
