Chinese + Indian = Chindian. That's how it goes. A series of work about mixed marriage between Chinese and Indian.
From colours to different forms, what it would become when two cultures become one? From challenges to acceptance, I recreate the culture which consist of Chinese and Indian interpretation, and unite them into one.
I used my parents as my subject matter and redesign the culture using different forms such as letters, motifs and colors.

91 x 120 cm
Previously I shared my parents' story in a facebook page called "The Chindian Diaries".
The feedback I got is overwelming, and I received a lot of positive feeback!

Different culture, different races, different languages, different colors, even different foods. Is that a problem after all?
You're not losing, but you gain more. Acceptance, compromise, love. Love never fails.
I'm planning to do an exbition for this series, and I need your support to make this happen. This would be a new inspiration for the public whoever has the same dream as me, and let them enjoy the richness of our culture in Malaysia. Every contribution from you are a step closer to my goal, and for the Chindian community who share the same dream as me.
If you think this exhibition is worth it, please click in to support! God Bless ^^

It's not an issue but I found out interesting when people don't know which category you're in due to your skin color and lives in a Chinese Indian family. I just finished my Diploma in Malaysian Institute of Art, Fine Art course. I wish to continue to produce artworks and share the beauty of art in cultures.
