Hi,
We are a group of undergraduate students, who are passionate about filmaking.
This time, we have penned a story on feminism and women empowerment and are planning to shoot it as a Tamil film. We are planning to use this short film to release it on Youtube (to gain feedback) and to approach production companies to secure funding for our feature film ideas.
The script (translated in English) can be read in this link:
(Scene 2 has not been translated as work is still going on to finetune it. In short, scene 2 will explain the situation of Rani growing up in a patriarchal society and how she was awed when she saw women in Kuala Lumpur being independent and working after marriage)

We are always inspired by great films and great directors and aspire to be like them though it is not the field that we are studying for. Though we have lots of passion, realising the lack of technical knowledge, we have also on board, Reuben Singham, a Cinematic Arts graduate from MMU to be the Director of Photography.
Here, I am listing the names of the main Crew involved in this film:
Director - Jeffry Christopher (https://www.facebook.com/jeffry.christopher.9)
A. Director - Kavinash Kumar (https://www.facebook.com/kavin.robo?ref=br_rs)
A.Director - Loga Tharshan (https://www.facebook.com/loga.tharshan)
D.O.P - Reuben Singham (https://www.facebook.com/Reubensingham)
Editor - Vinil Kiran (https://www.facebook.com/vinilkirankalaichelvan)

Shoot of scene 8
1. To get talented performers to translate the script to screen.
We posted about this short film in our social medias and requested those who are interested to act to approach us. We screentested those who are interested and chose the ones we felt will be apt for the role.
2. Funding
To produce a quality film, we had to get good lights and audio equipment. Since we are still students, it is difficult for us to get funding. Thus we are appealing for support from mystartr community.
