THE ABANDONED SOUL — A Short Film 

The Abandoned Soul originated from abandoned houses and ruins surrounding the artist. The city is constantly changing, people flows incessantly in different spaces, while the world we live in is blurry, who would have thought of forgotten places once filled with life? 

No matter it's in the city or outskirts and suburban areas, besides busy highways or busy residential areas, it's apparent that there are many abandoned spaces hiding somewhere in the crowd. These ruins and abandoned spaces can be houses, shop lots, and even largely disposed construction area, not developed and not occupied, waiting for days and nights in the middle of busy crowd.

The artist will serve concurrently as director, scriptwriter, film editor and musician. The script will be solely created base on ruins and abandoned places that is available to shoot and will associated with the cross gender issues and cast different age, gender and races actor to serve the characters.

The Team 

Producer =  Nicxon Tan

Graduated from National Taiwan University of the Arts.Nicxon has been technical director of Malaysian arts centre: Damansara Performing Arts Centre. Currently a theatre practitioner and lecturer in the Department of Theatre and Film, New Era University College. His works have travelled to many cities, notably Taiwan, Singapore, Australia and China.

Director + script writer =  Alison Khor

In year 2010, Alison graduated from New Era College Drama & Visuals Department(Malaysia). Following in the year 2012, she was awarded a scholarship from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Taiwan) to study in Shih Hsin University(Taiwan) and finished her degree in film making.She's currently a video artist and performer.Alison is also a singer-songwriter and member of experimental music duo JacAl Map.Her video work has been screened in Korea,Japan,Taiwan,Macau,Germany,Belgium and she has also been invited to several festivals such as Kaki Seni Arts Exchange,Macau Fringe Festival,DongTaiDu Music Festival etc.
 

Cast = Zhafir Muzani

Mohd Zhafir Muzani bin Mohamad, known as Zhafir Muzani was born in Negeri Sembilan and grew up in Sabah.Graduated his Diploma in Film and Degree in Theatre at UiTM, start his acting career as TV actor in Oh My English and followed by stage performing in dancing and stage acting in KLpac such as Men In Heels, and DPAC such as Monodrama Rasuk for DNA Project. For dance, he won a few medal in World Championship of Performing Arts in Los Angeles,USA and flew away to Jogjakarta,Indonesia to learn Javanese and Balinese dance. He still want to learn,explore and search the beauty of art by planning to pursue his master in performing art.
