How we got started?

Both of us believe that one of the principal values of travelling is that, it breaks the monotony of life and work. Life, for most people, is a mad rush from one place to another, from one activity to another, trying to gather as much as possible.
In this process, people tend to forget, who they are and what they are. There is no time to ponder and wonder. They tend to forget the values of life. Travelling is a time when people relax, reflect and ponder. Most people, after a pleasant travel, return home with a fresh outlook, new zeal and a better determination. 
But we realized that the hotel rates that most travelers pay for have been rising around the globe, especially in Asia, as an increasing amount of executive travelers who need to meet clients and do business face-to-face, families who want to get away for a holiday or backpackers who seek adventure.
Unfortunately, this rise in price comes at a time when business travel costs are still being 
scrutinised following years of global economic difficulty. Many people are forgoing luxury hotel 
stays in favour of integrating budget-level hotels or apartment stays into their travel policies. Business travellers are also often asking or searching for free amenities like wireless Internet and breakfast in order to optimise their budgets. Thus, planning your trips as early as possible is also increasingly important; and when you book your flight, book your hotel. “Advance purchase rates can offer discounts of up to 30% on hotel stays. 

Then it happened...
Our Eureka moment! We have all experienced that Eureka moment from some time or other. To each and every one of us, it was a profound moment that might have changed our lives, but affected us as individuals and probably those around us too.
Ours? Well that was when both of us realised we could subsidize hotel room rates with a unique reward point system that and allows for anyone to travel at 30%-50% lesser than what they would normally pay for a hotel stay. Eureka!

The Beginning... 6 months ago, Kevin and Simon came up with: mytrippo.com this exciting online hotel booking platform and with our motto statement “YOU GET REWARDED WHEN YOU MAKE BOOKINGS, AND REWARDED EVEN WHEN YOU ARE NOT BOOKING”.
How we did it? Simple… We reward people to travel by rewarding them with a unique ‘reward point system’ and get their cost reduced upon redemption of the points. Regardless whether you are travelling once in a year or more, as long as you register as a mytrippo.com member, you will enjoy the reward points every month.
We intend for mytrippo to be an online hotel booking platform that lets anyone to be able to afford to travel anywhere around the world. Our project is looking to achieve 1,000,000 users to use our website. Our team is doing this to address the concerns of every person who wants to travel the world at subsidized hotel rates. We aim to give our users a unique reward’s point system whereby allowing them to constantly be rewarded to travel. This is our way of contributing back to those who love to travel.

Why are we doing this..? To revolutionize the online hotel booking sphere to be an exciting, vibrant and value added customer experience.
