Hospi8Home的使命是建立一个免费的应用程序，让任何人都可以使用它来搜索和安排他人提供医疗设备和服务以支持和帮助适当的病人从医院回家养病。这个人可以是家庭医生，医疗器材或家疗服务提供者，捐助者和任何非政府组织。 养病在家可以降低成本，减少并发症，改善患者和护理人员的日常生活和满意度。
Apps将有2个焦点或阶段。首阶段着眼于提高公众对睡眠中止症（OSA）的意识，其心血管疾病风险，糖尿病等，以及如何以最具成本效益的方式在家中进行睡眠检验，然后才决定去医院检查。OSA的治疗在许多发达国家可以通过保险来报销，因为临床证明未经治疗的OSA会最终导致糖尿病，心脏等疾病从而导致更高的医疗与保险负担。
第二个焦点会关注患上慢性阻塞性肺疾病(COPD)，渐冻症(MND)， 脊髓性肌萎缩症(SMA)， 进行性肌营养不良症(DMD)等慢性呼吸功能不全的患者，将所有相关的教育和专业知识信息纳入到Apps中，指导患者及其家属如何使用机械呼吸机，免插管抽痰机，氧气机等的在家患者。
通过这次众筹，我希望提高大众对以上疾病和患者地认识，知识共享，同时连接所有重要伙伴，最终鼓励更多病情稳定的病人有信心选择在家医疗保健，自在生活延续生命。
我是一名美国注册的多重睡眠检测师，在医疗器械行业工作了17年，提供医疗器械培训于从事麻醉科，耳鼻喉科，儿科，呼吸科，神经病学，肺康复，姑息治疗，睡眠医学等的医生和护士。拥有经济学士学位（国际经济），4位可爱的女儿和2名新近收养的街头狗。
Hospital at Home - Hospi8Home's mission is to build a FREE Apps that everyone can use to SEARCH, LOCATE and SCHEDULE a nearest helper to provide medical equipment support and assistance. This helper can be a home healthcare service provider, a donor or NGOs. The Apps will have 2 focus or stages.
First is to promote public awareness, how snoring can relate to high blood pressure, heart attack, diabetes, etc; and how a simple sleep study at home can help to check the severity and if there an urgent need to have further diagnosis in the hospital as preventive measurement.
Second focus will be putting all the relevant educational and know-how information into the Apps, to guide the patient and their family members to manage the patient at home when using any life support medical equipment to aid respiration.
With this Apps crowdfunding project, I wish to promote awareness, knowledge sharing while connecting all important partners together and finally formed a hospice care at home online community to ease patient comfort and with better health-related quality of life.
I am a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, spent 17 years working in medical device industry, dealing with patients and doctors whom specialize in Anaesthesiology, Otorhinolaryngology, Pediatric, Respiratory, Neurology, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Sleep medicine, etc. I have a degree in BEc (International Economics), 4 lovely daughters and 2 newly adopted street dogs.
Throughout my career, I have been helping and providing many application training in sleep medicine, and mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit, respiratory clinic, sleep labs and palliative care unit for doctors, as well as home patients who required sleep diagnostic, CPAP, BiPAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilatory support.
Life will be more meaningful if we can help people. I hope my crowdfunding initiative for building this FREE app can provide a smart online platform for the Patients, Healthcare Professionals, Home Care Service Providers, NGOs and Donors to connect and contribute in order to enhance health-related quality of life for the patients to have Hospitalization at Home at relatively lower cost and hospital-acquired pneumonia risks.
