My solo "But would you know if a fishbowl is just a fishbowl?" was selected for "Cuerpo al descubierto" festival in Mexico, previously created for Short+Sweet Dance 2018 where it won Festival Director Award. Transportation costs are not covered by this festival hence I am trying to raise funds to cover my return flight expenses (KL - Mexico City). It requires at least RM4500 but I have received some funding from Short+Sweet Malaysia so I only require RM3500 more. Any amount would really be appreciated!

Hello everyone , we are students from University of Malaya which represented Tuanku Bahiyah Residential College (UM KK2) for Festival Seni Universiti Malaya 2018 and National Chinese Cultural Dance Open Competition 2018. In this coming August , we are heading to Hong Kong to join Bauhina Cup International Dance Championships 2018. Why crowdfunding? To fund our journey and competition needs as we will dance our best to increase the prestige of University of Malaya representing Malaysia at an international competition platform. 《十二金钗》由The Actors Studio与麒舞者民族舞团呈献，《十二金钗》舞蹈演出以中国古典名著《红楼梦》为底本，由马来西亚编舞家郭少麒与香港编舞家林慧恩联合创作，透过古典身韵及华族舞的身体姿态表现红楼梦中女子们的卓越风姿与精神特质。
除此之外，麒舞者也邀请了本地新兴的优秀华乐团体——莅库丝竹乐团，和香港著名古筝乐手李冠集，为《十二金钗》进行现场伴奏，让观众一飨【中国文学X华族舞X华乐】的中华文化盛宴。
The Actors Studio presents The Mythical Oriental Dance Company in Ladies of the Red Chamber, a full length Chinese dance performance which inspired by the famous Chinese classical novel – Dream of the Red Chamber. Choreographed by Malaysian choreographer Jack Kek and Hong Kong Choreographer Chris Lam, Chinese classical dance is the highlight of this project as to be used as a medium to illustrate the complex portrait of the female characters in the novel.
In addition, we are honoured to invite the emerging local Chinese music orchestra – Ricco Chinese Chamber Orchestra, and the famous Guzheng artist from Hong Kong - Lee Khun Chap, as our live music artists. Thus, this is a significance Chinese cultural project and international collaboration that integrates Chinese Literature X Chinese Dance X Chinese Music.
